Touchstone Coaching ("Touchstone Coaching," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit touchstonecoaching.life (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors in the United States and Canada. By using the Site or contacting us through it, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
The Site is operated by Linda Scholten under the name Touchstone Coaching, an international professional coaching practice offering life, relationship, and leadership coaching to clients in the United States and Canada. The Site also shares Linda's writing and her published novel. You can reach us at any time at linda@touchstonecoaching.life.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to you and run the Site.
Information you give us. When you complete an enquiry or contact form, or email us directly, we collect the details you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, your message, and, where asked, how you found us. If you go on to work with us, we may collect further information you share in the course of that relationship.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting platform (Squarespace) automatically records limited technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and how you move through the Site. This is used in aggregate to keep the Site secure and understand how it is used.
Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses cookies set by Squarespace to operate the Site and to gather anonymous, aggregated analytics. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the Site may not function properly without them.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to your enquiries and communicate with you;
Provide, arrange, and manage coaching services you request;
Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; and
Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Our legal basis for using your information
Where required (including for visitors in Canada), we rely on your consent to collect and use the information you submit, and on our legitimate interest in responding to you, operating the Site, and keeping it secure. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, though doing so may mean we are unable to respond to a pending enquiry.
How we share information
We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:
Service providers. With trusted vendors who help us run the Site and communicate with you — for example, our website host (Squarespace) and our email provider — who may process information on our behalf.
Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Touchstone Coaching or others.
Business transfers. If the practice is ever reorganized, sold, or transferred, information may be shared as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — to respond to your enquiry, to provide services you request, and to meet legal, tax, or record-keeping requirements — after which we delete or anonymize it.

United States (including California). If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of that information, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Canada. If you are in Canada, applicable privacy law (including PIPEDA) gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to request corrections, and to withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal and contractual limits.

International visitors
We operate from North America and serve clients in both the United States and Canada. If you contact us from another region, your information will be processed in the United States and/or Canada, which may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures, including those provided by our hosting platform, to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of touchstonecoaching.life (the "Site"), operated by Linda Scholten under the name Touchstone Coaching ("Touchstone Coaching," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
About the Site and our services
The Site is an informational resource. It describes Linda Scholten's coaching practice, shares her writing, and references her published novel. Coaching services described on the Site are provided under a separate agreement reached directly with a client. Submitting an enquiry through the Site does not create a coaching relationship, reserve a place, or obligate either party until we have expressly agreed to work together.
The nature of coaching — important
Please read this section carefully.
Coaching is a supportive, forward-looking, client-directed process. It is not therapy, psychotherapy, counseling, mental-health treatment, medical care, or legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for any of these. Working with Touchstone Coaching does not create a therapist–client, physician–patient, or other licensed-professional relationship, regardless of any prior or other credentials the coach may hold.
If you are experiencing a medical, psychological, or mental-health condition or crisis, please seek help from a qualified licensed professional or emergency service. Coaching is not appropriate as a response to a crisis or emergency.
Coaching outcomes depend on many factors, including your own participation, effort, and circumstances. We do not guarantee any particular result, and nothing on the Site should be read as a promise of specific outcomes. You are responsible for your own decisions and actions.
Eligibility
The Site and our services are intended for adults 18 years of age or older. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18.
Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and not to:
Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or its data;
Interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or integrity of the Site; or

Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, articles and columns, the novel and any excerpts, images, design, branding, and the STAND Method™ — is owned by Linda Scholten / Touchstone Coaching or used with permission, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view and share the content for personal, non-commercial use with proper attribution. You may not reproduce, republish, adapt, distribute, or use it for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
The novel and third-party purchases
References on the Site to Linda Scholten's novel are provided for information. Any purchase of the book is made through third-party retailers and is governed by those retailers' terms and policies, not these Terms. We are not responsible for products, prices, availability, or fulfillment by third parties.
Enquiries and communications
When you contact us through the Site, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. We will use it to respond to you as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit sensitive personal, medical, or confidential information through the Site's forms.
